breastfeeding mother

With your baby, a mother was born.

Caring for your babe starts with taking care of yourself. I am your postpartum doula, here to take care of YOU so that you are free to bond with your little precious one and heal. This is your birthright.

42 days for 42 years. This is how we change the world:

one well-mothered mother, one securely attached baby, one generation at a time.

What is a Ayurdoula?

I’m not just any Ayurdoula - I am a trained Ayurvedic doctor and a culinary-school chef, bringing clinical therapies and loving food into your home

An Ayurdoula is a certified Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula who cares for mama in the 6 weeks after birth, so she can properly heal and bond with her babe. While mama mothers her new babe, I mother the mother; using the 4 pillars of health.

Birth floods the body with vata (space + air), and if it isn't properly settled in those first 6 weeks, it can surface later as poor digestion, postpartum anxiety, disturbed sleep, low milk supply, or disconnection from her body and her support system.

Ayurveda calls this one of 3 sacred windows in a woman's life — alongside menarche and menopause — when real transformation is possible. The saying is "42 days for 42 years": how well a mother is nourished in these 6 weeks can shape her health for decades.

I'm also a trained Ayurvedic Doctor, so I can administer herbs and treatments as part of your care. Trying to conceive, pregnant, or need support beyond postpartum? See my Ayurvedic offerings.

The 4 postpartum Ayurvedic pillars of health:

  • 01 | Proper Nourishment

Ayurvedic meals, ghees, tinctures and teas, handcrafted for you. Mama’s digestive fire is compromised as all of her energy was moved from digestion to give birth and these allies are here to reduce vata and increase agni.

  • 02 | Body Care

Warm medicated oil application (abyangha), vaginal and uterus herbal steam (yoni steam), acupressure (marma therapy) are a few of the therapies I use to help restore mama’s nervous system. I teach you how to wrap your belly to support your shrinking uterus, how to give your baby an abyangha for better sleep and digestion (best way to prevent and combat colic), and help with breastfeeding concerns.

  • 03 | Mindfullness

I hold sacred non-judgmental space during our time together so that you’re able to grow into your new version of you. I handcraft all your goodies and do our treatments together while internally chanting mantra. I can use our time together to guide pranayama, yoga nidra, or light asana.

  • 04 | Rest

I got you. I am here so that you can rest, heal, and regenerate. I will watch your child(ren), run errands, prepare meals, do light housekeeping.
