Apothecary Terms + Conditions
1. Nature of Our Ritual Allies At Wilder + Sage, our oils, ghees, and tinctures are small-batch, seasonal products hand-stirred with meditative intentionality. Because we work with natural, raw ingredients, slight variations in color, scent, or texture are a normal part of the wild alchemy process and do not indicate a defective product.
2. Not a Substitute for Medical Advice While Cara’s work is grounded in both scientific precision and Ayurvedic medicine, the products in our apothecary are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. These ritual allies are designed to support your body’s innate intelligence. Always consult with your primary healthcare provider before beginning any new herbal protocol, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, or taking prescription medications.
3. Returns & Replacements Due to the handcrafted and hygienic nature of our apothecary goods, all sales are final. We cannot accept returns or exchanges. However, if your order arrives damaged during the shipping process, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery with a photo of the packaging so we can ensure you receive a replacement.
4. Allergies & Sensitivities As a Chemical Engineer, Cara ensures every ingredient is clearly listed. Please review the full ingredient list for each product to ensure it aligns with your body’s needs. If you have sensitive skin, we recommend a "patch test" on your inner forearm before full application.
Consultation Disclaimer + Informed Consent
1. Nature of the Relationship
While Cara is a trained Ayurvedic Doctor and Chemical Engineer, she is not a licensed Medical Doctor (MD) or a primary care physician. Our consultations are designed to bridge scientific data with ancient Ayurvedic wisdom to support your overall wellness. These sessions are a collaborative "scientific investigation" into your health, not a substitute for traditional medical diagnosis or treatment.
2. Scope of Practice
Our work focuses on mapping your return to balance through diet, lifestyle rhythms (Dinacharya), herbal allies, and body therapies. We do not diagnose or treat specific diseases. If you have a serious medical condition or are experiencing a health emergency, please seek care from a licensed medical professional or your local emergency services immediately.
3. Integration of Care
We believe in the power of a "well-tended" life. We encourage you to share your Lifestyle Map and herbal protocols with your primary healthcare provider. We are happy to work alongside your medical team to ensure your healing journey is cohesive and safe, particularly if you are navigating pregnancy, postpartum, or managing chronic conditions.
4. Personal Responsibility
As a "personality typing junkie" and a seeker, you know that true healing requires active participation. The "tools" we provide are recommendations for you to integrate into your life. You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own health decisions and for communicating any changes in your condition or medications during our time together.
Booking + Fees
1. Booking Deposit + Scheduling
To secure your requested date and time on my calendar, a non-refundable deposit equal to 1/3 of the total service fee is required at the time of booking and must be paid no later than six (6) weeks prior to your scheduled session. This deposit covers administrative scheduling and the custom procurement of Ayurvedic formulations, oils, and products specific to your care. Your appointment is not fully confirmed until this deposit is received.
2. Remaining Balance
The remaining 2/3 of the service fee will be structured as a flexible payment schedule, to be mutually agreed upon in writing between myself and the client. The finalized balance must be paid in full according to the terms specified in your individual client agreement.
3. Mobile Services & Travel Fees
I am pleased to offer mobile and in-home visits. Travel costs are structured as follows:
Complimentary Travel: Travel within a 25-mile round trip from my base in Boulder, CO is included in your standard service fee.
Extended Travel Fee: For locations exceeding a 25-mile round trip, a travel fee of $0.75 per mile will be assessed for the entire distance traveled from Boulder to your location and back. This fee will be calculated using standard GPS mapping and added directly to your final service invoice.
